March 14th SBC – Steve Duck, President of the Cycling Without Age Society

Hello everyone. Wow, what a great response to our employee based wellness theme meeting in February! Way too fun…and informative. After the meeting there was much encouragement towards scheduling a meeting about the biking community and culture on the Peninsula. So we are delivering. 🙂

The March 14th Sidney Breakfast Club meeting will be from Steve Duck, President of the Cycling Without Age Society. Steve will share the story of CWA coming to Sidney, along with Bill Cooke, a volunteer CWA pilot, including the opportunities for cycling on the Peninsula.  Both are avid cyclists, touring locally and internationally, solo and with groups.

The following is a brief summary about the Cycling Without Age Society:

The wind in your hair, a smile on your face!  Precious treasures to those not able to get out due to a disability.  Cycling Without Age answers the call of local residents with a need to get out.  Our non-profit society provides free rides taking up to two people per bike on a comfortable journey to see the waters and gardens of our community.  Learn about this international organization and how you can support it locally.

As always, the meeting is held at 7am on the 2nd Thursday of every month at the Victoria Flying Club Dakota Café. Please join us on Thursday / March 14th / 7am and RSVP only if you plan on attending.
