I hope everyone is enjoying our great summer weather. With the sun and early morning light, morning at the Sidney Breakfast Club is a great way to start the day.
This month, we will be enjoying the opportunity to hear from David Curtis, President & CEO, Viking Air Ltd. as he talks about “Viking Air – selling Canadian products successfully while navigating global geo-political situations.”
David’s aviation career started with commercial flight training in 1983 during which time he joined Viking (www.vikingair.com). During his career at Viking he has served in various capacities, ranging from Sales & Marketing to Vice President Operations and in 1991 was named President & CEO. Viking is a privately held company established in 1970. Viking has grown from a relatively small, MRO facility, to a multi disciplinary aerospace manufacturer with operations in Victoria BC and Calgary, Alberta. Viking Air has become the region’s manufacturing & business leader with almost 600 employees.
David last spoke to our group 3 years ago so I am anxious to hear what has happened since to bring Viking to the position of success they enjoy today.
