SBC meeting 11 Sept., 2014 – Mike Thompson FCMC, Associate Professor Royal Roads University

Hi all,

As summer comes to a close but hopefully not our summer weather, we are starting into our fall season of SBC meetings once again.

This month, we have a speaker that many of you, over the years managing your businesses, may have had an opportunity to meet either as a banker or a business consultant.  Mike Thompson FCMC, Associate Professor Royal Roads University and prior Sr. Manager, Business Development for TD Commercial Banking will be discussing “Optimizing Your business exit”.

Many of you as business owners are likely at the stage of now contemplating the best way to transition from your business operations to a financially rewarding exit with a proper succession structure in place.  Mike, having completed extensive research on this important topic has developed a model with a highly pragmatic focus on different transition pathway options available for consideration as part of an exit strategy and will discuss these options.  He is, of course, seeking to encourage an active discussion and feedback with our members.

Please join us to hear what should be an interesting presentation and opportunity for networking and learning.
