I’m back from my travels over Thanksgiving and looking forward to once again hosting our monthly SBC meeting. Thanks to John Juricic for hosting the SBC last month.
As many of you know, we have a very active manufacturing community both on the peninsula and in Victoria supported by many local organizations. One of our community’s greatest asset and supporter is Camosun College. Specific to our manufacturing sector, the Camosun Technology Access Centre has been providing southern Vancouver Island manufacturers with access to a variety of specialized services and expertise for the past 4 years. From this Centre, our speaker this month is Chris Edley, Manager who will be talking about Camosun’s latest initiative “The Interaction Lab – Federal investment at Camosun to support local manufacturers” made possible by a federal grant of $1.6M over the next 2 1/2 years from Western Economic Diversification.
Please join us at this meeting as Chris shares the details and discusses the impact this will have on the region’s industry.
Note: For more details, a printable meeting notice can be downloaded by clicking on the following link: Agenda 12 Nov 2015
As always, the meeting is held at 7am on the 2nd Thursday of every month at the Victoria Flying Club Dakota Café.
I look forward to seeing you on Thursday 12th November, 2015 at 7am and, as before, please RSVP (firstname.lastname@example.org) only if you plan on attending.
