For those of you that weren’t at our last meeting, our series of talks focussing on succession and exit strategies have now finished. Upcoming talks will focus more on people, companies and projects of interest in our local community. I hope to have a range of both business and technology topics featured for the talks.
Consequently, our February meeting will be led by Richard Smith, a Senior Project Manager at CAE Inc. CAE, founded in 1947 and headquartered in Canada is a large (employing 8000 people at more than 160 sites and training locations in 35 countries) and multi faceted company operating in Civil Aviation, Defence and Security, Healthcare and Mining sectors. There are a number of large projects being carried out within our local community.
Richard, in his role as a Sr. project manager over the past 8 years has managed numerous CAE projects. His talk will provide an overview of CAE, and, of specific interest to our group, describe some of the more significant “CAE projects in BC, Vancouver Island and Victoria”.
Please join us to find out more about the impact these projects have in our local community.
