It has been my intent to focus this fall on the topic of succession strategies and issues arising in understanding options, planning for and executing a successful business transition leading to a financially rewarding exit for a business owner. We had, at our last meeting, a presentation of a model describing different transition pathway options available for consideration as part of an exit strategy. With feedback from the audience, one of the issues discussed was multi-generational family business transitions.
As a follow-on to this specific transition issue, this month’s speaker is Mandy Farmer, President & CEO of Accent Inns & Hotel Zed, a 3rd generation family business owner discussing her personal experiences related to “Leadership Transition”. Mandy took over from her father in 2008 and has lived to tell the tale of differing leadership styles & visions, transference of knowledge and overcoming resistance to change.
Please join us to hear what should be an interesting presentation and opportunity for networking and learning.
