The Rainhouse Manufacturing / VIMEA Industry Training Centre is proposed as an industry-led mechanism for identifying and closing the capability gap between formal qualification and effective workplace performance.
The broader vision is to strengthen Vancouver Island’s manufacturing workforce and supplier ecosystem through a coordinated, continuously evolving approach to training. This would help employers access the learning their people need, while making effective use of existing education, certification and training resources.
The Centre’s core offering is the ongoing process of identifying industry capability gaps and organizing practical, measurable solutions to close them. Its course catalogue would evolve as a result of that process.
